      Where can I find my vehicle vin number?

      Every vehicle has a unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This number is a 17-digit code that contains important information about the vehicle, such as its make, model, and year.

      1. Look at the dashboard:
        1. The most common place to find a vehicle’s VIN is on the dashboard. It is usually located near the lower right corner of the windshield, near the driver’s side. 
      2. Look at the door jamb:
        1. The VIN is also printed on a plate that is mounted on the driver’s side door jamb. This plate is typically located near the latch mechanism.
      3. The VIN can also be found on the vehicle’s registration and insurance documents.
