How do I format my GoPro SD card?

If you run into issues with the GoPro, it may be necessary to format the SD card manually. (All recorded footage will be lost.)

Follow these steps to clear your GoPro's SD memory card.

  1. On the GoPro device, swipe down the touch screen and then select Preferences.
